My $2.50 Dollar Tree Skin Care Trick Will Clear Up Your Acne and BO
A DOLLAR Tree fanatic caused a stampede at the discount store after sharing a trick to combat body odor and acne.
Customers called it a ‘great idea’ and raved about her helpful tip for protecting sensitive skin.
TikToker @DollarTreeMegan is steadily building a following by sharing her “obsession” with Dollar Tree.
She went viral on the social media app when she revealed how she got rid of a common skin problem with a $1.25 purchase.
SIMPLE SOLUTION
She told viewers to buy Dermasil Glycolic Acid at Dollar Tree and a two-pack of spray bottles from the craft section.
Since the spray cap doesn’t fit the acid container, she advised pouring the liquid into the spray bottles.
Megan enthusiastically shares that glycolic acid is useful in treating a variety of problems.
“You can spray it on your face to reduce acne,” she said.
“It helps smooth out small bumps and fade scars, including on your back or other parts of the body with acne.
“And if you put this under your armpits, it helps kill the bacteria that makes you stink when you sweat.”

She recommended putting a label on the spray bottle so it doesn’t get lost among other beauty products.
She added that glycolic acid should be used in conjunction with extra sun protection as it makes the skin sensitive.
“Make it a habit to spray this on your face and then immediately apply sunscreen,” one viewer said.
COSMETIC WALK
More than 1 million people watched the TikTok video and thanked Megan in the comments for sharing the hack.
Others indicated that they had already tried the toner and were impressed with its effectiveness.
“I love this toner, I feel like I need to stock up on it,” said one person.
“I absolutely love this,” another commented. “I always grab some from my Dollar Tree even when I’m not out of it yet.”
“Finally found it today!” wrote a third. “I hope it helps my armpit, I’ve tried every deodorant in the world but to no avail!!”
How does sunscreen prevent aging?
Dr. Michael Aziz, an internist and author of the upcoming book The Ageless Revolution, revealed five habits of youthful-looking people.
“Sunscreen protects your skin by acting as a barrier against harmful UV rays,” Doctor Aziz told The US Sun.
“There are two main types of ingredients in sunscreen: mineral and chemical.
“Mineral ingredients such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide form a physical shield that reflects UV light away from the skin.
“Without SPF protection, your skin can develop uneven pigmentation in an attempt to protect itself from the sun’s rays. This can lead to potential sun damage, such as sun spots and premature aging.
“It is essential to use sunscreen to prevent this and maintain healthy skin.”
“Great tip, I was looking for this at my local DT,” added another.
According to Medical news todayGlycolic acid may be beneficial for combating aging and treating skin conditions such as acne and damage caused by UV light exposure.
Experts advise doing a patch test with a low concentration of glycolic acid and gradually increasing use as advised by a dermatologist.
Because it increases the risk of burning, it is recommended to apply glycolic acid at night and always wear sunscreen during the day.
If glycolic acid is used too often or if the solution is too strong, side effects such as redness, itching and a burning sensation may occur.
