My 2-Step Method Prevents Razor Burn on My Bikini Line After Shaving
With swimwear, beach days and pool nights in full swing, there’s nothing that can get in the way of your summer style like razor bumps.
A smart woman shared in detail how she keeps her bikini line smooth.
Reddit user Put a bird on it shared her process in a comment on the social media platform.
She said her technique does work, even though it may sound “crazy.”
The two-step method is not only simple, but it also uses things most people already have in their homes.
Other Redditors also supported her regarding her post-shave ritual.
HOW IT’S DONE
She uses a product that people normally apply to other places on the body.
“I know it sounds crazy, but deodorant,” she said.
She added that she always uses heavy artillery when cleaning the area.
“I clean the area with alcohol after shaving. Yes, it hurts like hell for a moment, but that goes away quickly,” she added.

“Then rub a deodorant stick over the shaved area. No more irritation or bumps.”
She admitted that the hack was not hers, but that she had received advice from an exotic dancer.
She also went into more detail about how to get a smooth bikini line every time.
“First, I exfoliate the area with a scrub cloth and use my normal body wash,” she says.
She shaves with a brand new blade, using the foam from the body wash instead of the traditional shaving cream.
“When I get out of the shower, I pat the shaved area dry and then I spray 70 percent isopropyl alcohol on the shaved area. 70 percent is more effective than 91 percent at killing pathogens, which is what we’re aiming for,” she said.
“I bought a little spray bottle from the travel aisle and filled it with alcohol. I spray it on the shaved area. I just find it easier.”
She uses Dove deodorant, which sells for $4.66 on Amazon.
Other Redditors weighed in on her bikini line.
“Same,” someone wrote. “Oh my god her advice literally changed my life haha.”
“I need to try this,” another added. “Now that you mention it, I actually never get razor bumps on my armpits after shaving.”
“I really, really wish I had read this before I got ready today,” said a third. “But these are good tips for the future.”
“You just saved my life, thank you,” cheered another.
