Reddit user NotaCvt shared the skin care tip in a post.

They said that after suffering from back pain for years, they were relieved to have found a routine that worked.

“I have been suffering from back pain for over five years, and I have found a routine that helps me get back on my feet,” they said.

After taking a shower, they scrubbed their backs with an African net sponge.

“Let your back dry a bit before applying it generously OXY 10% benzyl cream cleanser,” they said.

After applying the cleanser to the affected areas, they allow the treatment to soak into the skin.

“It’s important to let it soak in. I usually wash my entire body with a loofah before rinsing it off. Then when I rinse it off, I scrub it again with the loofah,” they said.

“Out of the shower, dry yourself off completely and apply The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7%. I usually just let it drip and then blend it out.”

While not everyone could appreciate the power of the two products, they explained that it worked for them.

“People have different opinions about these products, which I respect, but for me they are the holy grail,” they said.

I’m not a beauty snob, but I do like the “fancy” skin care serum I bought at Dollar Tree – it’s comparable to a drugstore product

“The skin on your back is often so thick and oily that you need to use strong products that penetrate it.

“I also had clogged pores, but thanks to the glycolic acid they disappeared.

“A dermatologist diagnosed my acne as bacterial, but it also came and went hormonally, which had to do with sebum production.”

Others who suffered from bacne agreed with their product recommendations.

“Great answer. I’ve been doing this for a few years and it works,” said one commenter.

“I also apply 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. I have been suffering from acne on my back, chest and shoulders for years. My skin is now smooth.”

They advised people who suffer from body acne to avoid perfumes and other irritants.

“Stay away from scented body washes. I use a non-scented soap. Hope this helps,” they added.

“My partner’s back responds very well to the 7% glycolic acid,” said another.

“Plus one for that recommendation!”
