In his viral videoTikTok user Dr. Chris Tomassian (@dr.tomassian) revealed which ingredients help against the signs of aging.

He explained that his routine contains “ingredients that keep your skin tight and glowing.”

His first recommendation was to invest in a vitamin C serum.

You can buy a 15 milliliter bottle Vitamin C serum for just £6 at Boots.

According to the professional, you should apply a layer of the product to your face and neck every morning.

Skin care experts recommend vitamin C for anti-aging as it stimulates collagen production.

For his next tip, Dr. Tomassian turned to a favorite skin care product.

The skincare expert told his TikTok followers to wear “sunscreen every day.”

You can pick up a bottle Soltan Protect & Moisture Lotion for £4.50 at Boots.

Excessive exposure to sunlight can break down the collagen in your skin, causing wrinkles.

Finally, the doctor will tell you which remedy to apply before going to bed.

Dr. Tommassian recommends adding a retinol serum or lotion to your evening routine.

The Retinol 1% Serum from The Ordinary is available for just £8.50 at Boots.

Retinol is another ingredient proven to boost collagen production.

According to the doctor, there’s also a handy way to save money on your skin care routine.

The Importance of Sunscreen in Your Skin Care Routine

Dermatologist and skin care enthusiast Andrea Suarez — better known as Dr. Dray — shared why you should wear sunscreen.

The one thing you can do to make the biggest difference – and this applies to all ages – is to protect your skin from the sun, Andrea emphasizes.

“The vast majority of external aging is caused by ultraviolet exposure,” she continued, and not by “not using a nice serum or not putting 90 different things on your face every day.”

“If you’re not doing this in your twenties, start now.”

But she said that wearing sunscreen alone doesn’t go far enough. Andrea urged that you also wear sun-protective clothing, such as wide-brimmed hats and long sleeves, and that you don’t stay in the sun for too long.

If you do this throughout your life – and all year round, not just in the summer or on sunny days – “the visible signs of sun-induced skin aging will diminish,” says Andrea.

These are wrinkles, impure pigmentation and sagging skin.

“Use the same facial products on the body as well, [you] “don’t need new products,” he explained.

He added that using the products only on your face will give you a youthful complexion and a “wrinkled neck.”

His followers shared their thoughts on the advice in the comments.

“Thank you!!! I never thought about it,” wrote one impressed viewer.

“Thanks for all the tips,” said another TikTok user.
