My $8 drugstore purchase works better than any expensive eye cream
The skin under the eyes is a problem for many, but one woman suffers from it.
She raved about an $8 skin care product she bought at the drugstore.
Reddit user Sunpossible260 said her method works better than more expensive products.
“Immediately after I get out of the shower and wash my face at night, I apply some Eucerin Aquaphor under my eyes to seal in moisture,” she said.
“I swear this works better than any expensive eye cream I’ve ever bought.”
She added that her method not only works for her, but is also cost-effective.
“A tube costs a few dollars and lasts a year or more,” she said.
Sunpossible260 saw a dramatic difference in her skin tone.
“I’m telling you I have less wrinkles than I did a year ago,” she said.
“No other product, and I’ve tried many, has given me these results.”

“This is based on science,” one person wrote.
“A dermatologist showed me a study that showed it’s best to use lotions like Cerave and Aquaphor less than four minutes after showering/washing to lock in moisture and reduce dry skin.”
“My doctor told me to do this,” said another.
“Absolutely. I have an autoimmune disease that leaves me with extremely dry and fragile skin,” said a third.
“One of the first recommendations my immunologist gave me was to blot away excess water with a towel after showering so that it is no longer dripping/rippling, but the skin is still moist.
“And then apply lotion as soon as possible to lock in the moisture.
“It is also important to pat the skin with the towel. Never rub if you have dry or fragile skin.”
They also advised avoiding dry skin.
“Never use soap on dry skin, it will only dry it out more,” they said.
“Instead, use an antibacterial cleansing lotion without soap.
“All my specialists recommended Cetaphil products.”
