‘My adult son can’t even do that,’ parents shout about Love Island child’s act of kindness
A LOVE Island couple have been praised for their parenting after their adorable toddler made breakfast for her little sister.
Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow, who met on the ITV2 dating show, yesterday shared a clip of three-year-old Nell busy in the kitchen.
Nell can be seen expertly cracking eggs into a pan on the stove, then moving her toddler tower, a child-safe step stool, to the refrigerator to get some milk and butter.
After adding both ingredients to the pan, the toddler turns on the stove and scrambles the eggs until they are cooked to perfection.
The sweet girl then grabs two plastic containers and distributes some eggs to her sister Nora, who has one, before having breakfast herself.
Proud dad Jamie said: “Matilda in the making!”
In the film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book, the talented child Matilda uses her psychic powers to bake her own pancakes.
And Nell proves to be just as talented and independent in the kitchen.
Jamie added: “Nell has always been very eager to learn and it was incredibly proud to see her making eggs for her sister from scratch this morning.
“Kids are the best.”
Jamie, 34, and Camilla, 35, also became parents to baby Brodie, who they welcomed into the world in May.
Their Instagram video of Nell’s act of kindness has been viewed more than 880,000 times.
Many social media users are amazed by her skills and joke that she is already a better cook than their adult children.
One of them said: “Well done Nell, my 22 year old son can’t even do that, haha.”
A second pleaded: “Oh my god can she please show my 22 and 32 year old son? Well done Nell.”
“Can she please come and teach my two teenage sons?!” echoed a third.
A fourth admitted: “She can break an egg better than me. I’m 38 years old.”
“My 18 year old daughter couldn’t even boil an egg. Clever girl Nell, the eggs looked delicious,” a fifth chimed in.
Meanwhile, a sixth joked: “She’s pretty much ready to be an adult.”
Others were equally complimentary about their parents Jamie and Camilla, praising them for the way they have nurtured Nell’s independence.
“The way I see it, that’s how you teach your kids life skills,” someone said.
