My alcohol trick will help you make the best homemade deodorant – all you have to do is spray

A BEAUTY fan shared a simple alternative to deodorant that doesn’t contain aluminum.

Their DIY recipe is easy to customize and with just two ingredients you can take it to the next level.

Reddit user SunnyDGardenGirl shared the money saving tip in a post.

She explained that most of the aluminum-free deodorants she had tried didn’t work for her.

However, with high-percentage alcohol she was able to remove the odor from under her armpits without any problems.

“Like Everclear or 100-proof vodka,” she said.

“Just spray it under your armpits and it works surprisingly well.”

She warned others not to apply alcohol to their armpits if they have just shaved.

“If you’ve just shaved, it does hurt, but that was the only time I felt it,” she said.

She added two ingredients to boost the moisturizing properties of her deodorant to prevent skin from being stripped of moisture and to eliminate odor.

“If you want to make it extra festive, you can add glycerin for skin protection and essential oils for scent,” she says.

She said her favorite recipe called for a very small amount of alcohol.

“I used to use four ounces [of] “Everclear, a teaspoon of glycerin and about 20 drops of essential oils,” she said.

“Choose a deodorizing scent for extra spice or just go for something that smells nice.”

She also revealed her favorite ready-made natural deodorant for when she doesn’t feel like making it herself.
