Reddit user Slack face shared their method for regulating the climate well for everyone.

They asked other users on the platform if they needed advice on how to efficiently fill a kiddie pool with warm water.

“Use a bucket to connect the hot water tap to the garden hose,” they said.

“Once the water flows through the hose, gravity does the rest.”

HOW IT WORKS

The bucket of water creates a siphon effect, which creates a continuous flow of water into the pool.

Assuming the pool is located under the sink, the water should flow directly from the bucket into the pool due to gravity.

One Redditor responded to concerns about water wastage.

“It’s a kiddie pool lol. Probably about 50 gallons and it’s mixed with cold water,” they said.

The original poster replied that it saved them time and water.

“Yes, this literally saves us several trips back and forth with the bucket to get the cold tap water clean,” they wrote back.

Another Redditor left an extra tip for their days at the kiddie pool.

“I’ll buy some long hoses and attach a spray nozzle to them,” they said.

“Fill the garden hose with water and leave it in the sun. [It] fills in [a] A children’s pool of 4.3 by 1.2 meters, fine with warm water.”

Another recommended purchasing a sink attachment to make the process easier.

However, one Redditor said that this could work, but that the siphon method is better due to ease of access.

“It’s a lot easier if you already have the equipment and know what you’re doing,” they said.

They added that they don’t have children of their own, but that they see the simplicity of the hack.

“I imagine the lever trick is better than packing up the kids, going to the hardware store, finding the part, getting Teflon tape, and then learning the knowledge to install it without twisting the threads.”

Another Redditor wondered why they need hot water in the summer.

“It’s still cold where I live, but it’s sunny enough that there’s a spot around noon where kids can play in the water for two hours, which is fun for them,” they said.
