My ‘cool’ beauty trick is great when my face is puffy or tired
NO ONE will know you’re not getting enough sleep thanks to a few simple tricks from a beauty brand founder.
Her anti-aging tricks provide many benefits for the skin.
COOL TIP
Nabila Khashoggi, founder of natural beauty brand Nabila K, isn’t taking any chances when it comes to her skin-saving routine.
“I use a gua sha or jade roller. I keep mine chilled in the freezer,” she told The US Sun.
“They’re great to use if your face feels puffy or tired because they pull all the lymph through the system and reduce the swelling,” she continues.
Her favorite products are a gua sha and jade roller from ESW Beauty.
To ensure her skin stays hydrated all day long, she makes sure her favorite products are always within reach.
FACE IT
“I love a face mist that hydrates the skin all day long. I put it in everything,” she said.
“They are very refreshing. I recently started using a small amount of retinol at night and am getting good results. I have seen a brighter complexion,” she added.
She also doesn’t want you to forget to wear sunscreen.

“I do it because they work, the ingredients aren’t harmful to my skin and they don’t harm the oceans,” she said.
Another essential beauty habit she swears by is keeping her skin clean.
“I always use a gentle exfoliant to stimulate cell renewal, otherwise makeup can clump in some areas and it becomes difficult to get the right skin tone,” she says.
She also uses SPF before applying makeup to her face.
She said sun damage to the face, neck and hands is one of the “biggest giveaways” when it comes to giving away your age.
“I make sure I protect those areas. The backs of the hands or the décolletage, wrinkled skin, sun spots and sun damage are visible there,” she said.
“Years of neglect can show on your skin—as they say, the body keeps score. So one of my go-to techniques is to protect all of these areas equally,” she added.
If you want to keep up with Khashoggi’s routine, you need to drink plenty of water. This will help prevent your skin from drying out.
“I can see the difference in my skin when I don’t do that. Anything that adds moisture to my skin or locks in moisture is a winner,” she said.
BACK TO THE BASICS OF BEAUTY
Her morning and evening routine consists of washing her face, using a gentle cleanser and toner, and applying an oil serum and cream.
She prefers natural products that are easy to find, such as grapeseed oil and almond oil, which she explains are very good for the skin under the eyes.
“I use them interchangeably. I’ve learned that this is especially true for aging skin because the pads under your eyes shift and the skin there gets thinner,” she said.
She said that grape seed oil reduces inflammation and tightens the area, plus it stimulates collagen production.
Almond oil contains naturally occurring retinoids.
One of her go-to eye makeup tricks is applying primer all over her face, including her lashes.
There’s one product that makes her eyes shine extra bright: a brightening concealer.
