My face makeup dupe is ‘100% better’ than a more expensive brand and is $28 cheaper
A BEAUTY fan shared a product that can compete with a more expensive brand, but for a fraction of the price.
She found a popular imitation for makeup that lasts long and is much better than the more expensive version.
Reddit user Aexaandsirisbaby found an affordable knockoff of a makeup product that she likes better than the original.
She recently purchased the L’Oreal True Match Nude Tinted Serum Foundation for $20.
The L’Oréal product is available in 14 shades, suitable for different skin tones.
“I like this 100% better than Clinique Even Better Serum Foundation,” she said in a after.
She added that the Clinique Clinical Serum Foundation with SPF 25, $48, was “much heavier.”
“It felt more like a regular foundation, sitting on my skin and transferring,” she explains.
The Clinique purchase has a wider choice of shades than the cheaper option, with 42 options.
The Reddit user said that L’Oréal’s is “lighter, transfer-proof, and lasts all day.”

The biggest selling point was the price, as “it’s about $40 cheaper.”
After letting the serum sink in, she said it gave her a “radiant finish.”
She called it her “new favorite.”
REDDIT REACTIONS
Other Redditors agreed that it was a good choice and could compete with Clinique’s.
“OMG True Match Serum is the only bottle of foundation I used until the end,” said one.
“I want something with a little more coverage soon, but I will definitely be repurchasing True Match Serum for the days when I want a little lighter coverage.”
Another admitted she was “not aware it was a dupe of the Clinique Even Better Serum Foundation.”
“It’s definitely one of the few foundations that’s in my permanent range and it would be the first one I would buy if I lost all my makeup,” she added.
A Reddit site said they didn’t think it was a “true copy,” for a specific reason.
“I expected Clinique foundation to be more like a serum,” she explains.
She was “very disappointed with the texture and finish.”
“The L’Oréal one felt more like a serum because it went on so evenly and didn’t fall apart or look cakey like the Clinique one.”
