A heartbroken woman bravely travelled the world on her honeymoon, despite the fact that her fiancé died a month before the wedding.

Canadian TikToker documented the holiday and she was overwhelmed by the online support and praised for her bold and inspiring step.

Laura’s life was shattered after her future husband, Devon O’Grady, 31, tragically passed away from cardiac arrest in May.

Despite being very sad, Laura continued with the honeymoon, after saying she was tired of feeling ‘guilty’ and being alone.

She packed her bags and made the long journey to England She said her intention was to find out if her “life is still worth living.”

The attorney told The Washington Post: “It was very lonely and isolating because I didn’t know anyone my age who had lost a spouse.

“I had to find people who could empathize with me, because I wanted to know how to move forward.

“I also felt that I had to distance myself from my birthplace and our house.

“I just sat there for months, not knowing what to do with myself.”

To ease the lonely journey to Europe, Laura decided to post everything about her travels on TikTok.

Her account quickly filled up with videos of famous London landmarks, her favorite places to eat and even her trip across the English Channel to France.

She said, “It’s totally unusual for me to travel alone, and it’s even more unusual to document that for the world.”

Some of the videos also showed Laura’s most difficult moments, where she said she would have loved to have a “good cry” or just spend the day in bed.

But Laura says she was glad she went ahead with the trip, as thousands of people sent her sweet messages of support.

There were many people in a similar situation to her, who had recently lost a loved one and who appreciated the new global community that Laura had created.

Laura spoke in a moving TikTok about the support network that has emerged since the solo honeymoon.

She said: “I am truly overwhelmed by all the love and I wish I could reply to everyone and spend time with you all.

“I remember saying to my dad, ‘I need someone who has been through this,’ because I needed proof that it was possible to survive.”

Laura and Devon lived together in Newfoundland for many years with their two sweet dogs Leni and Chewy.

The couple first met in a bizarre but unforgettable circumstance, when Devon rescued a panicked Laura after she became trapped in a stairwell.

Devon heard his future lover banged on a closed door and rushed to her aid as the couple began a blossoming relationship.

Tragically, Devon passed away in May in his office, which was across the hall from Laura.

She says the sound of ambulances rushing toward the building still haunts her to this day.
