My hack makes small Christmas trees look bigger in seconds
Finding the perfect Christmas tree for your home can be a mission, especially when larger ones can be more expensive.
However, one clever mum has revealed how to make small trees in your living room instantly look bigger.
Casey Major-Bunce, who @great mom hacks page, shared her clever hack in a video that has racked up nearly 2,000 likes.
She shared: “Instantly add height to your height Christmas tree.
“All you need is a plant pot, wrap it up and put the base in.”
Casey explains how she uses paper, a towel or “whatever she has on hand” to fill the plant pot and raise the tree.
The plant pot is an easy way to add a foot or two to your tree without spending a dime.

Casey also had a neat trick for adding baubles to your tree to make it look full.
She showed how she makes a Christmas garland to hang around her tree. This not only looks beautiful, but also saves her time hanging up the individual Christmas baubles every year.
She said: “And for the Christmas garland all you need is a pipe cleaner, ribbon and a zip tie.
“To make the garland, I used different colors, but you can also use one color or mix that I mainly used pink and silver.
“Start by adding three large baubles and then two smaller ones to the pipe cleaners you want about five on each pipe cleaner.
“Tie the pipe cleaners around the ribbon, you don’t want to leave any space or gaps. That’s why I like using this method because you can easily fill in any gaps, but if you’re not worried you can add them at the end
“To hang them, I used a zipper on the top and a zipper on the bottom to keep them in place.
“I made three different clusters, as you can see, and I put all the Christmas presents under the tree.”
Many people were impressed with her tree hack, with one saying: “I love this.”
Another said: “Fantastic idea.”
And even B&M said: “This looks so nice.”
How do you care for your real Christmas tree?
HERE’S what you need to know when buying a real Christmas tree:
First things first: buy a jar (if it isn’t already in).
You should treat your tree like a houseplant and give it water and attention.
Make sure the container has good drainage. It’s a good idea to put something underneath to catch the excess water.
Check the soil every day to make sure it is not drying out.
If it feels dry, give it some water. If it still feels damp, leave it alone as too much water can also kill a tree.
Also check that the LED bulbs of your tree lights are not too hot, as this can burn them, and keep your tree away from radiators.
Once Christmas is over, try planting it in the garden so you can dig it up and use it again next year.
However, it is a good idea to remove it from the pot when you replant it, as large trees do not survive well in pots as their roots need room to grow.
