My Hair Reaches My Tailbone – Your Biggest Mistakes That Are Jeopardizing Growth
DAILY habits that many of us do unconsciously can hinder hair growth for a woman with long hair.
Cezara Robu shared the most common mistakes that helped her grow her hair to tailbone length.
Robu, 26, from London, is a civil servant who spends her spare time sharing beauty and wellness videos on YouTube.
She went viral on the platform when she shared the secret to her long locks.
In an interview with The US Sun, she revealed that several habits can hinder hair growth.
SHIPPING BAGS PACKAGING
Robu said that too much focus on topical treatments is not beneficial.
“Ignoring length retention is probably the biggest mistake I see,” she said.
“Hair growth is often seen as growth from the scalp, so we buy a lot of oils, hair growth supplements, massagers and expensive shampoos.
“But a big part of growing long hair is preventing the hair from breaking off.”
She said her hair is weakened by everyday mistakes, not by one bad bleach.

“For example, many of us hold the handles of our bag or backpack in our hair,” she said.
“Or just lie on it when you are sitting on the chair or couch.
“These habits can cause daily friction on our hair and ultimately break it. So no matter how fast or healthy the hair grows from the roots, the length can be compromised.”
FOOD FOR THE THOUGHT
Robu said she doesn’t rely on any nutritional supplements marketed for hair growth.
She admitted that her reason may be unfounded, but that it hasn’t hurt her ability to grow long hair.
“I’ve never tried any supplements for hair growth,” she said.
“I’ve heard that they promote hair growth all over the body, as the effects are not limited to the scalp.
“Whether that is true or not, I believe that good nutrition and good habits should take priority over taking supplements unless you have medical conditions that affect hair growth.”
According to Very good healthOral hair growth supplements have “minimal effect” on body hair growth.
This is because they do not contain the hormones needed to stimulate hair growth on the body and face.

Robu previously told The US Sun that it took a year and a half for her locks to grow back after she cut away all the visible damage from the hair dye.
She stopped dyeing her hair and replaced her old ball-bristle hairbrushes with a Tangle Teezer.
She also started using a protein-rich gel and cleansed her skin twice a day to prevent product buildup.
Robu said it’s “counterintuitive” to get regular trims of your hair if you want to maintain its length.
She added that avoiding the use of heat styling tools is essential to maintaining the health of your hair.
