My mom has been buying an ‘underrated’ makeup classic from Dollar Tree for years
NEXT time you’re looking for a budget-friendly skincare product, check out the beauty aisle at Dollar Tree. One woman’s mother swears by this one.
She said her mother has been buying an “underrated” makeup classic from the discount store for years, and that she even has five of them herself.
Reddit user KC27150 shared the affordable products she bought at Dollar Tree and Dollar General.
She grabbed two LA Colors Color Vibe Eyeshadow Palettes in the shades Sunset and Bright from Dollar General.
“My mom has been buying their eyeshadows for years and I have more than five in my Makeup Box too. Totally underrated,” she wrote.
She shared photos of each item in the after.

Plus she said they were very cheap and only cost her $1.25.
But be warned: prices fluctuate.
When she returned, the price had gone up by a dollar.
They normally cost around $3.00 per palette.
She also bought Maybelline Volum’express The Falsies Waterproof in Very Black at the store for the same price.
Her visit to Dollar Tree also netted her some beauty deals.
She bought the Rimmel London Lip Art Graphic Liquid Lipstick in Be Free and Vandal for about the same price.
There she also purchased the LA Colors Shimmer Highlighter in Shine Bright and the LA Colors Metallic Liquid Eye Liner in Metallic Rose Gold for a similarly low price.
Normally they cost between $4 and $7 each.
In total, she added five products to her makeup bag for under $10.
REDDIT REACTIONS
Reddit users were impressed with her enormous shopping list.
“Honestly, that’s a pretty good bargain for a budget. LA Colors is seriously underrated,” wrote one Redditor.
“Ooo, I’m so jealous, those palettes are so pretty,” one woman commented.
“I agree! I love their eyeshadows and lipsticks,” added another.
“I have an LA Girl palette just like this one but they are nude shades and the payoff is good. I always use Milani eye primer and have a fairly light skin tone so it can vary from person to person [your mileage may vary]”, someone else interjected.
They said it was “definitely worth it” for the $2 they paid at Walmart.
