My Mom Trick Keeps Our Kiddie Pool Clean All Summer Long & Keeps My Littlest Out of It
A mother of two received compliments from other parents for her tip on keeping kiddie pools clean all summer long.
She said the quick trick also keeps her youngest child from drinking the pool water.
Anna Victor (@anna.viktori) is steadily gaining followers on TikTok, where she shares tips and tricks.
DO NOT SPLASH
She went viral on the social media app when she shared a method to keep her kids’ pool clean.
In the five-second clip, she showed the blue baby pool filled with water as she stood next to it with a fitted sheet in her hands.
She carefully bent over to lay down the sheet, tucking the ends under the bottom of the pool to hold it in place.
The pool appeared to be completely covered to prevent leaves and other debris from falling into the water.
Speaking to The US Sun, Anna revealed that she has been using the little-known method for two years.
“I saw it once on a blogger and decided to do the same,” she said.
“I realized how useful it is.”
She said that because she lives in Texas, the wind often blows “all kinds of junk” into the kiddie pool
“Because the pool is small, I change the water every two to three days, regardless of whether there is a lot of debris in it or not,” she said.
“I have two small children and the youngest now drinks from everything she sees, and the pool is no exception.”
ROLE MODEL
TikTokers loved Anna’s video, admitting they’d never thought of covering their kid’s pool with a sheet.
Parents indicated that they would like to try out the idea themselves.
“Oh my goodness, I wish I had known this before, brilliant,” one person wrote.
“OMG this is so clever. Why didn’t I think of this,” another commented.
“How clever, thank you,” said a third.
WATERWORKS
The hack comes after another mom surprised TikTok with a trick that turned her kids’ pool into an amusement park.
Rheagan Mae (@rheaganmae) used her creativity to attach a water balloon to a hose at the edge of the pool.
Because the water flew into the air before it hit the swimming area, it was a nice addition to the pool.
One parent called her a “bloody genius,” while another said it was “smart recycling” because they wanted to join others in copying the idea.
