My must-have Dollar Tree beauty tool costs a fraction of the price of the real thing
A budget-conscious beauty fanatic has revealed she bought a tool from Dollar Tree that is a knock-off of a popular product.
She was very excited that it works just as well as the more expensive alternatives sold in beauty stores.
The woman shared her budget-friendly recommendations in response to a post on Reddit’s Drugstore MUA forum.
BUDGET BEAUTY
She excitedly shared that she had paid only $1.25 at Dollar Tree for several products she used in her makeup routine.
“The beauty blenders and the reusable makeup remover wipes are a must!” she wrote under the handle Iridescent melody.
“They both work so well and cost a fraction of what you would pay at a beauty store.”
Dollar Tree’s affordable Blending Sponges look remarkably similar to Beauty Blender’s Original Makeup Sponge, which retails for $20 at Sephora.
Nearly 475,000 consumers are raving about the product, which is designed for applying skin care products such as foundation, BB cream and powder.
One customer noted in their review that Beauty Blender gives a “flawless” finish, while another raved about how it doesn’t absorb product.
The Redditor preferred her budget copy over the expensive purchase, and noted that it’s not the only Dollar Tree product she loves.

“I also buy cotton swabs at the dollar store to keep with my makeup because I use them to remove smudges and get through them quickly,” she said.
“I also tried the LA Girl eyeshadow palettes, which have four colors, and I was surprised at how buttery and soft they were!
“I like to watch YouTube reviews for tips on what to buy.”
She added that the discount store is her go-to place to find “fun” hair accessories, such as scrunchies, clips and headbands.
COSMETICS HUMOR
Many people upvoted the post to show their appreciation for the product recommendations.
One of the top commenters suggested going to Dollar Tree towards the end of the year to buy makeup sponges in different sizes.
“I received a package of three beauty blenders in different sizes around Christmas in a cute little package,” she said.
“The smallest one is absolutely perfect for blending color corrector/concealer under my eyes.
“Hopefully they have them again so I can save them.”
The surprise over Dollar Tree comes after TikToker Victoria Sofia (@victoriasofia.m) was surprised when I found counterfeits of expensive skin care products in the store.
She said it was “crazy” how similar B-Pure’s Revitalizing Moisturizer is to Olay Regenertist, which costs $27.40 at Target.
She also compared Dollar Tree’s mini lip balms to Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil, which retails for $20 each at Sephora.
Victoria advised swapping hair care products like shampoo and conditioner for cheaper alternatives.
