My serious skin problem led me to a ‘remarkable’ molecule to combat body acne

One woman is no stranger to dermatological issues herself and decided to create her own skin care line.

Bay Area, California-based Tina Dao, 37, is the founder and CEO of Youzu.
Her skincare brand focuses on body care, but often shifts the focus to facial products.
“My goal was to transform the perception of treating skin concerns from a source of embarrassment to a confident and positive part of one’s routine,” Dao told The US Sun.
She added that she shifted her focus to ingredients that work and kept the design minimalist.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Dao said her goal is to normalize common skin concerns, down to every inch of the skin.
“Our body skin, just like our facial skin, deserves attention and love, as it often deals with problems such as acne, eczema and pigmentation,” she says.
“In many cases these concerns are overlooked, but they are just as important.”
She added that she herself had struggled with her skin care regimen until she discovered the breakthrough ingredient.

“My experience with hypochlorous acid started in 2018, when I experienced severe skin irritation caused by bacteria,” she says.
From there, Dao saw how it worked wonders for her irritated and inflamed skin.
