My sheets were orange from the self-tanner, but thanks to a stain remover they looked like new again
A beauty lover reveals how she gets her dirty sheets and clothes sparkling white after applying self-tanner.
She showed that all she needed was a stain remover to make them look like new again.
New York City resident Klea (@kleamxo) gets her summer glow with a little help in the form of self-tanner.
She’s not ashamed of using it regularly, but she admits that it does get on her laundry.
WASHING LESSON
Klea shared her trick for getting makeup and self-tanner out of fabrics that look “permanently stained” in an Instagram Reel.
To show how ‘bad’ it was, she held up a few shirts and a towel, which should have been white, but were almost brown because of the residue of the sunscreen.
“I’m a little embarrassed to show you these, but they’re like a carrot, orange,” she said of her pile of sheets.
The secret to making them look “brand new” is OxiClean White Revive Tablets, which cost $8 on Amazon.
“They really change your life,” she enthused.
Klea admitted that she used to be “really scared” to use bleach because she “didn’t want to mess anything up.”
“These little tablets make everything so easy,” she said.
“You just throw them in the laundry and wash everything as you normally would.”
She noted in the comments that you “still have to add detergent.”
When Klea returned to her apartment with her clean laundry cut in half, she showed the end result.
She held up several towels and shirts to show how well the cleanup was working.
“Look at my towel. Not an ounce of self-tanner. My white T-shirt with permanent makeup stains on the collar, brand new again,” she raved.
Even her white socks benefited from the OxiClean product.
“This is not an advertisement,” she concluded.
“This is a trick I recently learned but had no idea about because I was just too scared to use regular bleach.”
RADIANT REVIEWS
Klea’s beauty lovers appreciated her cleaning advice.
“My white shirts thank you,” someone commented.
“I’m influenced,” said another.
Others were impressed with her self-tanning skin and wanted to know which self-tanner she preferred to use.
“I’ll try it, thanks. And what self-tanner do you use?” asked one Instagram user.
She replied that she uses the St. Tropez Self Tan Supreme Violet Mousse, $48 on Amazon, which gives her the “best tan.”
