My wife bought Disney socks on Temu but we didn’t notice the BIG mistake at first

HET is known for discounted items at rock bottom prices.

The disadvantage of ordering from Temu is that there may sometimes be a typo.

Emilie decided to buy a pack of socks from the website for her trip to Disney with her husband John. When she opened the socks, they seemed fine.

But when they turned the cute socks over, they realized what a huge mistake they had made.

“So this is why you should never order products from Temu,” John began the TikTok video.

“Because my wife wanted to order some nice Disney socks here for her upcoming Disney trip.

“And look at the things you received in the mail!”

Each ankle sock featured a famous Disney character in different colors.

And then the idea was to have the character’s name printed on the sole.

But when they turned the sock over, they saw that all the nicknames were clearly misspelled.

Chip the chipmunk was Chib, Mickey Mouse was Miikey, Minnie Mouse was Mimnee and Donald Duck was Tonaid.

They ended with perhaps the most hilarious of them all: Piglet, who turned out to be Bigeet.

My wife bought a Temu multipack of Stanley cups for the grandchildren… when they arrived she was in hysterics

“So yeah, maybe don’t trust Temu when you order socks, because that’s what you get in the mail!” John laughed.

People were quick to respond to the video. One person wrote: “This is EXACTLY why you order from Temu.

“I once bought some Pepsi socks and they said ‘Peepi’ on them.

“Those are my favorites!”

“Those are Digney socks,” joked another.

“Tonaid knocked me out!” laughed a third.

Why is Temu so cheap?

TEMU came onto the scene in late 2022 and people on social media were raving about the low prices.

The company is a Chinese-owned digital marketplace. It is essentially an online shopping app where people interact directly with the retailer, while the app handles the shipping.

The hype surrounding the app is not entirely unjustified, as the app offers a wide range of products, including fashion, make-up, electronics and furniture.

According to a report of the U.S. House Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, Temu is exploiting a loophole in the law that allows the company to ship duty-free goods directly to the U.S.

This loophole is called the de minimis exception and means that goods worth up to $800 (£643) can be shipped to the US without being inspected or taxed by US customs.

Temu connects customers directly with manufacturers and only manages how the items are shipped to customers.

This means that Chinese suppliers can sell and ship their products directly to customers, without having to set up a global network of warehouses.

This allows them to save enormously on costs and ensures that the product itself is not reduced in price any further.

While many of the products you see on the Temu app come from brands with extensive, original collections, there are also many more counterfeit products from designer brands.

“This is probably Temu’s way of not getting sued by Disney… but this is actually hilarious!” someone else said.

“Will go straight to Temu and order socks after this video,” wrote another.

“The best part? When you wear real shoes and not socks and sandals, it’s like an inside joke,” someone else giggled.

“What do you mean?” asked another.

“I would pay extra for it!”

“This makes me want to order from Temu,” agreed someone else.

“Wow. These are so much better than anything from the Disney store! Score!” laughed another.
