Netflix confirms The Night Agent season 2 will return in 2025 and renew the series for season 3, but it’s not the news I wanted
The night cop season 2 is slated for a 2025 release on Netflix, with the top streaming service recently confirming that the hit series will return “this winter.” An exact release date is a secret I’m afraid, but it doesn’t help that it’s not clear whether the release date refers to the end of winter in the Northern Hemisphere or the beginning – we’ve contacted Netflix about this and will update article if we hear back.
Since the first season was such a big hit for the streamer, you might be disappointed to hear that it could be a long time before you find out where the show is going. But we do have some first footage from the new season that you can check out below, as we excitedly await a trailer for one of Netflix’s best shows.
What else do we know about The Night Agent season 2?
The Night Cop Season 2 picks up right after the first, when Peter Sutherland’s efforts to save the President earned him a well-deserved opportunity to become a Night Agent. This means the stakes are higher and Peter finds himself in a world full of danger Tudum teased, “where trust is scarce.”
That’s all very exciting, and we’re sure the full plot details will become clearer as time goes on and we get the anticipated season two trailer.
But that’s not all, because season two doesn’t mean the end The night cop. The streaming giant has confirmed that it has been renewed for a third time, so season three is underway, even if it’s way too early for more information.

But if you’re worried about the future of the drama series, you can rest assured that it’s not going out of business just yet. Netflix has confirmed that filming will begin in Istanbul in late 2024, before returning to filming in New York in 2025.
