Netflix, a CNET Editors’ Choice award pick, is planning to add new games to its growing library soon. The upcoming games include a few that put you at the center of all the drama in a pair of Netflix reality shows.
Netflix is pretty much synonymous with streaming movies and TV shows like Black Mirror and Stranger Things, but your subscription also gives you access to mobile games that you can play on your smartphone. iOS or Android device. If you subscribe to Netflix (which starts at $7 per month), you can play these and many more games without ads or in-app purchases, at no extra cost.

Netflix Stories: Sell Sunset

This cozy puzzle game follows the main character Jemma on a journey of self-discovery. The game has unique movement mechanics. You move on a grid and when you move, the items move on the same axis as your movement. So if you move left, the item that is just out of reach will also move left.

Saving Middle-earth is great and all, but if you’ve ever wanted to curl up in your Hobbit hole with a hot cup of tea and a book and leave the world behind, this is the game for you. You play as a Hobbit in the Shire, and it’s up to you to tend your garden, fish in a nearby pond, decorate your house, and make friends with the other Hobbits. This game is like JRR Tolkien dropped into Stardew Valley.
Here’s how to access the games in the Netflix library
1. Download the Netflix app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
2. Open the Netflix app and sign in to your account.
3. Crane At home at the bottom of your screen.
4. Scroll down on your home page until you see the Mobile games carousel.
5. Discover more about a game by learning more about it.
6. Crane Get game to download a game you are interested in.
You can also search for games in the Netflix app by tapping the magnifying glass in the top right corner of the app and entering the name of the game.
An additional pop-up from Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store will open, asking you if you want to download the game. After you confirm this action, the game will start downloading on your device, just like other apps.
