BOTOX has long been the anti-wrinkle treatment of choice for celebrities looking for a quick fix for smoother skin.
According to a beautician, many people now have Botox injected into their jaw every three months. The injection has more effect on their face than people think.

Celebrities commonly undergo plastic surgery to firm their bodies, tighten their skin and contour their faces.
Today, some dermatologists and surgeons inject Botox into the chewing muscles on each side of the face.
Aesthetic nurse Jackie Spagnuolo by Beautician NYC claims that the desire to get a “slimmer face” with the help of masseter Botox has become the preferred choice of people who want to smooth their skin.
“This new trend is all about slimming the face and contouring with Botox in the jawline,” she told The US Sun.
“Masseter Botox can soften the appearance of a square jawline.
“It can make the jawline thinner, more oval, heart-shaped or V-shaped.
“In the past, it was all about Botox for wrinkles around the eyes, with results lasting only 3 to 6 months.
“Celebrities now want a tight, slim jawline and with Masseter Botox they can choose different shapes and angles that suit them.”
The large masseter muscle is used for chewing and is located between the temporal bone and the lower jaw.
Botox is injected into the area, temporarily weakening and paralyzing movement. Spagnuolo thinks stars like Chrissy Teigen and the Kardashians could have jumped on the bandwagon.
SHAPED CHRISSY
Chrissy Teigen, 38, said she started getting Botox in her armpits to stop sweating.
After giving birth to her third child, the model also used Botox for headaches.
“Jaw Botox was a MUST for my frequent headaches,” Chrissy wrote on X for 2020.
We can see that Chrissy had a heavier jawline and now has a tighter shape.

Cardi B, 31, has been candid about her face and body transformation, having occasional plastic surgery for her small nipples and folds.
The rapper had a BBL, but later stopped the injections.
After the birth of her daughter Kulture in 2019, she also underwent several breast enlargements.

Angelina Jolie, 49, has never admitted to having plastic surgery or using injections.

Excessive use can lead to weakening of the chewing motion, making it impossible for people to chew their food properly.

The treatment is new and the medical community has not yet determined whether masseter Botox is safe for long-term use.
The FDA has not approved Botox for this use.
CHEW IT OVER
Some professionals warn against overuse and Spagnula claims that complications can occur.
“Botox injected into the masseter muscle can affect chewing, especially if too much is injected,” she added.
“Too small an injection would make it difficult to chew tough foods.
“Some people may experience a different bite or drinking action.
“Excessive use can weaken the chewing motion, making it difficult for people to chew their food properly.
“It is crucial to inject the right amount to avoid compromising muscle function.”
