New leaks hint at Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra flagship design
Leaks surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S25 are still coming and will likely continue until the phones are unveiled sometime in January. Two new images have surfaced online and give us an idea of the design of the Ultra version.
We’ve already heard that next year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra will get a rounder design that feels better in the hand, but based on a new report from a well-known tipster Ice UniverseThe rear camera design doesn’t change much.
The post reportedly shows a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra case, and it features the six holes you’d expect based on the design of the current model (four for the cameras themselves, and a flashlight and a laser rangefinder for autofocus) – see our Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra review for more details.
For reference, the Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a 200MP wide-angle + 10MP telephoto + 50MP periscope + 12MP ultra-wide camera setup that can do up to 5x optical zoom. There has been talk of upgrades to some of those cameras this year, though this link suggests the layout will be quite similar.
Another leaked image
There is more of it Ice Universe to report, as the tipster also posted a rendering that shows the corners and edges of the current Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus compared to what we’re expecting from the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Rumors have it that Samsung will be making the bezels of next year’s devices even smaller, and you can see that in this leaked image. You can also see the rounded corner design we talked about earlier.
For comparison, check out previously leaked renders of the Galaxy S25 Ultra: not much has changed on the rear of the phone, but the overall look and shape more closely matches the other models in the series.
As usual, we’ve heard more about the upcoming Ultra model than we have about the standard or Plus models. For example, we’ve seen reports that the Ultra model’s screen size will be slightly larger, from 6.8 inches to 6.86 inches.
