New Look fans rush to buy ‘on-trend’ faux fur coat that ‘feels luxurious and cozy’
AS fall begins to swirl through the crisp air, there’s one color that’s emerging as the undisputed hue of the season: burgundy.
A deep shade that reflects the warmth of the colder months, burgundy is taking center stage in the fashion world for fall 2024.
The rich color returns to our wardrobes as summer leaves us – and this year is no exception, with high street stores offering a range of burgundy garments.
One of the popular stores that has also jumped on the viral trend is New Look – and there seems to be one garment in particular that has become a big hit with shoppers.
As temperatures slowly but surely drop, many fashionistas have started looking for the perfect outerwear to keep them warm.
And if you want to feel cozy and look stylish at the same time, New Look’s burgundy faux fur coat is the ultimate choice to check out the next time you want to replenish your wardrobe.
The beautiful coat, which is currently on sale from €55.99 to a more affordable €44.99, features oversized lapels for extra coziness.
It has a regular fit and is the perfect layer for this winter – and next.
Ideal to pair with trendy jeans and biker boots for a more casual ensemble, this versatile wardrobe favorite can also be dressed up in a pinch.
Are you going on a date or do you want to attend a Christmas party? Rock the comfortable jacket with sexy knee-high boots and faux leather shorts and a chic blouse.
New Look customers can also purchase this beautiful piece in three different shades: black, brown and light pink, if you’re looking to add some color to your wardrobe this year.
With so many styling options and a look that will remain a classic, it’s no wonder bargain hunters love this jacket and give it the maximum five stars.
One delighted New Look customer rated it five stars and wrote: ”Jacket feels luxurious and cozy, fit is quite large as I sized down.
”I thought the color was very trendy. Everyone has admired this in me.”
Someone else also advised it’s best to go for the smaller size, but their overall feedback on the ”stylish item” was excellent.
”Beautiful faux fur coat, I did take a size smaller because I thought it was roomy. Looks beautiful.”
A third had nothing but positive things to say about the winter must-have they bought in size 14.
”I love this jacket. So soft and cozy. Lovely color to brighten up the winter blues! Really comfortable. Brilliant purchase.”
Christmas fashion tips from an expert
CLEMMIE Fieldsend, fashion editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.
AVOID: Christmas sweaters
They are no longer a novelty, they have now become boring again and do not belong at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Sweater Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.
WEAR: Burgundy
At this time of year you can’t avoid burgundy and it is a luxurious, deep and rich color that is a welcome change from the Christmas red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.
AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather-trimmed combination sets has had its day and is so dated.
This year, don’t break out your hair-plucked pair and buy a new set, instead, still go for the satin two-piece, but stay away from the plumes.
WEAR: Sequin dress
Try changing up the sequins a bit by wearing them with a different texture or color, for example a sequin skirt with a tight knit.
But if you really don’t know what to wear, reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.
AVOID: Sequin blazer
There’s nothing worse than showing up to a festive gig that looks like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and strict judges, but always opt for a classic tuxedo style or velvet instead.
WEAR: Bling pants
Last season, embellished jeans with diamond bling were having a moment, and this year they’re going to be just as big a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging everywhere, try metallic PU pants.
Another fashionista from London said you couldn’t tell the jacket came from the high street because it looked more postive than it actually was.
”Great little jacket for winter evenings. I like the color, almost more burgundy than brown.
”Pairs great with jeans and even better with a dress. Looks more expensive than it is, and better than some of what the other stores I visited had to offer. b
”I’d been looking for a while, so happy to have unexpectedly stumbled upon this whilst visiting when I least expected it.”
