Laurie Daley has supplied a selection shock with Max King to make his debut of the state of origin, but has surprisingly chosen to omit Tom Trbojevic.
The New South Wales Coach also sweats on the suitability of Payne Haas, who has sustained a quad injury.
Daley confirmed his side for the series opener on Sunday, with Dylan Edwards retaining the fullback role and Mitch Moses to be partner Nathan Cleary In the halves.
Latrell Mitchell and Stephen Crichton will play centers, which means that Manly Superstar Trbojevic has surprisingly missed the selection.
Trbojevic had been a favorite to make the team as the right wing of the blues, but it seems that a corked quad will now see him excluded, with Brian To’o and Zac Lomax being set up.
Manly boss Anthony Seibold, Trbojevic had been ‘fit and healthy’, even after he seemed to look like the dead leg during Saturday’s 24-6 victory against the cowboys.
It also comes when Jacob Kiraz was excluded on Sunday, who would miss at least a month with a calf injury.

Isaah Yeo van Penrith will take over as a captain, with the concussion of Jake Trbojevic who ends his chances to keep his place at prop.
But all eyes in the Blueskamp are probably on Haas this week, if he is even released to fly to NSW on Monday.
The Brisbane Prohibitor took a problem in the loss of Brisbane against St George Illawarra on Sunday, before the injury later got worse.
He needs scans on Monday morning, after which a decision will be made about whether he is flying down to join the Blues’ camp in an attempt to be fit for the opener of 28 May.
Haas had a back problem in recent weeks and needed treatment in Sydney this month before he had the quad problem.
His injury comes after a nightmare weekend for the forward shares of the blues, where Jacob Saifiti also increases a calf injury in the loss of Newcastle against Parramatta.
The place of Saifiti now goes to 28-year-old Max King, with the in-shape Canterbury Prop on the couch as the only debutant of the blues.
“Max’s selection for the blues is a pride moment for our entire club and the proof of his incredible resilience in overcoming career-liters to reach the highlight of our game,” said Bulldogs chairman Adam Driussi.

“His journey is an example of what Rugby League is all about – a quality player and an even better person who deserves the ultimate recognition due to pure determination and character.”
NSW also has Stefano Utoikamanu on standby as the 19th man, who chooses to go for Terrell May, despite the fact that the Western Tigers front cupboard are among the best props of the NRL this year.
In the meantime, it is the selection of Moses over Jarome Luai as blues no.6 that looms up as one of the most interesting factors that are originally.
Moses and Luai led the blues to a historic series of victory in Brisbane last year, so that a deficiency of 1-0 series was destroyed after the defeat at home.
But the return of Cleary from a hamstring injury that has excluded him from last year’s series has always chosen that the duo is fighting realistically against one place.
Moses was close to the best player of NSW in last year’s comeback, while Luai had the advantage that Cleary’s old Premiership-winning partner was at Penrith.
The selection of Moses will be questioned how he and Cleary will combine, who have never played together before.
Both are also dominant halves in their club, stationed on the right side of the field as a right foot kickers.
Since his days, Moses has not regularly played with West Tigers five-night, because he had been the most important conductor at the beginning of 2017 since his arrival in Parramatta.
