‘New take on a classic’ has fashion fans excited about Sainsbury’s £16 autumn buy
SHOPPERS are rushing to Sainsbury’s for a “must-have” autumn purchase that costs just £16.
The supermarket’s own fashion brand, Tu Clothing, has just released the wrap shirt in-store and online.
Available in neutral and khaki, it’s the perfect transitional colour as we gear up for fall.
The Wrap Tie Front Long Sleeve Shirt also meets inclusive sizing requirements, ranging from size 8 to 26.
Sainsbury’s bosses say: “Our neutral long-sleeved shirt is beautifully designed in a wrap style and is the epitome of modern elegance.
“It has a bow closure at the front for a chic touch.
“Perfect to combine with wide-leg jeans and ankle boots.”
Katrina, creative stylist at Tu Clothing, also praised the bargains that can be worn both formally and informally.
When she tried it on at her local store, she said, “The wrap shirt is a new take on a classic.
“Choose it for a chic look or wear it with jeans for a more casual look.
“Whatever your preference, this must-have will take any outfit to the next level.”
And shoppers seem to agree. One enthused: “What a cute top.”
A second wrote: “Honestly I love it. The quality is great, don’t go downhill.”
Meanwhile, a third said: “I’ve really enjoyed Tu this summer.”
It’s not the only Tu Clothing item that’s been causing a stir among fashion lovers lately.
The supermarket’s ‘Black Smudge Spot Crinkle Mesh Midaxi Dress’ is being hailed as a “stand-out piece” that can be worn through summer and autumn – and it costs just £20.
Their creative stylist Katrina advised shoppers to pair the “gorgeous” dress with some gold jewellery for the perfect summer evening look.
Reasons to buy supermarket fashion
When you’re looking for new pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe, or want to update your basics, you don’t have to spend hours scouring the clothes shops or scrolling online. Just buy a dress or two alongside your fruit and veg…
They are handy – Chances are that you go to the supermarket more often than to a shopping mall or high street.
It is affordable – Supermarkets are leaders in budget fashion that doesn’t look cheap, from basic items to more fashionable pieces.
They are more fashionable than you might think – Because their customer base is larger than that of the average high street store, stores like ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco are better able to respond to the market and predict trends in many more areas than just food supply.
They fit well – Fits and lengths often come with a bit more modesty in mind. Fabrics are often very practical too: think lots of 100% cotton that can be thrown in the washing machine without a second thought.
