Nicho Hynes has been spotted on a brunch date with new love Piper Wallis after it was revealed the Cronulla star is officially off the market.
Last week, reports emerged that the 28-year-old is in a relationship with advertising executive Piper Wallis. The 23-year-old has been spotted at Sharks games alongside Hynes’ mother, Julie.
The star halfback is known for being protective of his privacy, but was spotted walking around Sydney with Wallis and friends on Sunday afternoon.
Wallis recently returned from a trip to Europe and posted a photo of Hynes enjoying his meal on her Instagram Story.
Hynes has been single for most of his acting career, although he has previously been linked to beauty entrepreneur Morgan Belier and television host Marlee Silva.
The only women Hynes has shown off in his life are his mother and his niece Bobbie.
Hynes’ early career was plagued by mental obstacles and he has spoken openly about his depression as a young, rising star. He struggled as a child with the tragic death of his stepfather and with his mother’s legal problems, which saw her in and out of prison regularly during his childhood.
“I would never want to do it again, or to myself,” he said.

Hynes, born in Gosford, said he didn’t leave the Central Coast until he was about 20 years old.
“My mother and father split up when I was very young, I think I was about two years old,” he said.
His mother became involved with Brendan, a truck driver, and the family moved to Maitland, until tragedy struck.
Brendan fell asleep at the wheel and died.
“My mother was obviously very upset and I had to go back to live with my father and stepmother,” Hynes said.
‘My mother was in and out of prison from the time I was five until I was twelve. I was without my mother throughout my entire primary school years.’
Hynes said he was “very lucky” to have someone to live with because he “could easily have gone down the wrong path.”
“I wouldn’t be sitting here today,” he said during the interview three years ago.
Hynes and his half-back Braydon Trindall helped Cronulla into the finals stage after the Sharks beat the Cowboys at the weekend.
The Sharks halfback admitted Friday’s win feels like both he and Cronulla have had a weight lifted from their shoulders after failing to win in 2022 and 2023.
Cleary also knows what it feels like when his performance in important matches is questioned.

Although he has now won the Clive Churchill Medal twice and is the NRL’s best player, his State of Origin performances and ability to score tries in big matches have been questioned.
Something Hynes can agree with.
“My ego isn’t so big that I can’t ask my colleagues for help,” Hynes said.
‘It’s just what you have to do in life, in this kind of game and on this kind of terrain.
‘When you face problems, try to get help from someone who has been through something similar.
“He had some challenges early in his career. I would be foolish not to try to build a relationship with someone like him.
“Maybe I’ll text him this week and ask if he has any advice.”
