No Neet Question Paper Leaked in Patna, Sawai Madhopur: NTA | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) an affidavit filed with the High Council late on Wednesday evening, in which he addressed the allegations of paper leaks during the Neet-UG exam in Patna And Zawai MadhopurThe agency said these claims were unfounded and that the integrity of the investigation remained intact.
On the allegation of paper leakage in Patna, the NTA said, “No paper with question marks was found in any trunk; no broken locks were found; NTA observers did not report anything adverse; and thanks to the constantly monitored CCTV footage at the command centre, no incident of paper leakage was observed.” Based on the allegations of the plaintiffs, the Supreme Court had on Monday said there was no doubt that paper leakage had taken place.
Initially, a wrong medium question paper was circulated in Sawai Madhopur, which was later corrected. However, some candidates protested and left the centre without taking the exam with the question paper and then a photo of the question paper was circulated on social media, claiming it was a paper leak, the NTA said.
The list of 17 suspected criminals includes candidates in the Patna centre provided by the Bihar police, which initially investigated the case before handing it over to the police. CBIAccording to the NTA, the assessment of the performance of these 17 candidates did not appear to have much impact on the implementation of the examination in the center. The performance of these students was moderate to below average (the marks they obtained ranged from 609 to 69).
The NTA has indicated that in order to make the examinations free from errors and malpractices, it is considering the option of, in consultation with stakeholders, “moving from the pen and paper mode (based on OMR) to the computer-based testing (CBT) mode.”
It said that the video containing the exam questions on social media platform Telegram has been identified as fake by the channel and that the “time stamp has been manipulated to give a false impression of an early leak (of NEET-UG exam questions),” the channel said.
It said that the results of top 100 candidates were analysed and it was found that they are spread across 95 centres in 56 cities of 18 states/UTs. NTA said that no abnormality was found in the distribution of marks of candidates in Neet-UG after detailed analysis.
