No tribal rights for children of Bengali infiltrator: BJP chief JP Nadda in Jharkhand
NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Jagat Prasad Nadda, addressing an election rally in Bishrampur in Jharkhand on Saturday, promised that if the BJP is elected to power, it will allow children of Bengali infiltrators and local Adivasi mothers to access tribal rights. Nadda accused the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) led government of inns Bengali infiltrators and promised to drive them out of the state.
“Children of the Bengali infiltrator, the father and the Adivasi mother, will be denied their tribal rights if the BJP comes to power in Jharkhand. The infiltration will not continue,” Nadda claimed to the crowd.
He then criticized the current JMM-led government and said, “Corrupt people and thieves are part of the JMM-led government in the state.” Nadda urged voters to replace what he called the “single-engine government” with a “dual-engine government” for the comprehensive development of Jharkhand under the leadership of the BJP.
Nadda praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s influence on India’s global standing and highlighted a recent statement by newly-elected US President Donald Trump, who described Modi as a “good friend”, reflecting India’s lofty image internationally.
Nadda also cited economic progress under Modi’s leadership, noting that India now ranks second globally in steel production and fifth in mobile phone market. “The budget for highways was increased by 50 percent under Prime Minister Modi,” he added.
Highlighting Modi’s efforts to uplift tribal communities, Nadda pointed out that the tribal welfare budget was increased threefold, funding for Eklavya model schools was increased twenty-one times and about 1.5 crore toilets were built for tribals as part of the 11 crore toilets built nationwide.
At another meeting in Bishrampur, Nadda asserted that the citizens of Jharkhand are frustrated with the JMM government’s “corruption and appeasement policies” and are ready to embrace “good governance and development” under Modi’s leadership. Nadda later met members of the medical fraternity in Ranchi, underscoring the party’s commitment for better healthcare in the state.
