Noel Gallagher reveals the ‘real reason’ he split from Liam in hilarious ‘first interview’ about Oasis reunion as he speaks to fans in store

Four children had the pleasure of meeting the lead guitarist of Oasis while shopping in London.

The youngsters don’t seem to recognise Noel until the bewildered father describes Oasis as his ‘legendary band’.

In a revealing moment, the eldest daughter asks, “Wait a minute, is he coming to see his brother again?”

Indeed, he is. The band announced earlier this week that they would be reuniting for the first time since their 2009 split, playing 17 shows in the UK and Ireland before embarking on a world tour with plans to “go to other continents outside of Europe.”

The siblings, one of whom is holding a Winnie the Pooh plush toy, surround the rock musician and pepper him with questions in what is officially his “first interview” since the long-awaited reunion was announced.

A boy asked rudely, “Why are you fighting with your brother?”

Without hesitation, Noel replied, “Because he stole my teddy bear.”

“You’re lying,” said the boy, now giggling just as much as the celebrity.

“I’m not lying,” Noel said. “He stole it in 1978.”

The younger boy was completely unimpressed and said, “You’re a fake. See you later.” He then stormed off.

The down-to-earth Oasis star continued to joke with the children as they walked down the street to his car.

“Can you drive?” asked Noal.

“Yes,” the boy replied. “I’m only eleven.”

Responding to the heartwarming video shared on Facebook, one Oasis fan wrote: “A true legend taking the time to talk to those kids. Class.”

Another user said: ‘Those kids have no idea how happy they are.’

Thousands of fans are hoping for similar luck as they wait for tickets to go on sale for Oasis concerts across the country.

A fan tweeted: ‘Ticket price drops… £150 still standing! Ouch.’

Another said: ‘I suspect, judging by the price of Oasis tickets, they’re going to need a good pension fund in the future.’

The UK and Ireland shows, the only European dates, were announced as follows: Principality Stadium, July 4 and 5; Heaton Park, July 11, 12, 16, 19 and 20; Wembley Stadium, July 25, 26 and 30; and August 2 and 3; Murrayfield Stadium, August 8, 9 and 12; and Croke Park, August 16 and 17.

Noel and his brother Liam put their bitter split over the ‘teddy bear’ behind them and confirmed the band’s long-awaited reunion on Tuesday.

In a social media post, they said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see it. It won’t be televised.”

Concert passes have not yet gone on sale, but the Manchester rockers invited fans to sign up for a pre-sale ticket ahead of the general release on Saturday.

Oasis today extended the deadline for fans to confirm their registration until Friday morning, after an “unprecedented” number of applications for the reunion tour were received.

Fans are urging the brothers to get back together after their split, sparked by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

More than 4 million fans are expected to compete for the 1,066,888 available tickets for the 14 concerts.

Tickets for Oasis’ upcoming reunion tour have been announced, with the cheapest ticket costing £72

People in the music industry expect demand for Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’, which saw the world-famous pop star perform several sold-out concerts in the UK, to be just as high, if not higher.

Oasis’ website crashed immediately after the announcement, indicating how many people will be vying for tickets.

Many Oasis fans probably look back angrily at the children who got to meet Noel for free – all because they happened to be in the right clothes shop in London at the right time.
