‘Not a single person…’: Indian diaspora in Geneva calls out RG Kar rape-murder. What EAM said | India News – Times of India
NEW DELHI: The outrage over West Bengal RG Kar rape-murder and the concern surrounding women safety no longer seems to be confined to the borders of India. It has transcended national boundaries and reached the diaspora.

The EAM also touched upon PM Modi’s Independence Day speech on women’s safety. “I am reminded of something that PM Modi once said from the Red Fort. He said that we all say things to our daughters when they go out late at night, but do we do the same with our sons?… Ensuring the safety and security of women is a big issue.”
The EAM also refrained from discussing politics related to the issue on foreign soil, saying: “I do not want to have political discussions on the issue outside the country.”
EAM Jaishankar made the remarks while addressing the Indian diaspora in Geneva. He arrived in Switzerland on Thursday, concluding a three-country tour that also included visits to Germany and Saudi Arabia.
