The star’s post comes after her former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, 57, contradicted Kim’s claims that she “had no intention” of returning as Samantha in the franchise’s third spin-off film.

Kim had previously told Variety she had decided not to participate in the planned film after seeing her character’s lack of progression, saying that co-stars Sarah, Cynthia Nixon, 56, and Kristin Davis, 57, “are not my friends.”
However, Sarah claimed that it was not Kim who turned down the film, but the studio, because they couldn’t accept her “demands.”

“I’ve been careful never to say anything unpleasant, because it’s not the way I like to have such complicated conversations.

“The studio, when we started making the third film, there were things they asked for that they couldn’t do – they weren’t comfortable meeting where they wanted to meet.
“And so we didn’t make the movie because we didn’t want to do it without Kim and the studio wouldn’t do it. So it fell apart.
“It wasn’t like she said no to the movie. It’s that the studio has said no to the film, which you know is happening,” she said.
The six-time Golden Globe award winner admitted he felt disappointed and detailed “working very hard for years.”

Despite the third film being dropped, Sarah, Cynthia, who plays Miranda, and Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte, reprised their roles in a follow-up series called And Just Like That… which premiered six months ago on HBO Max, without Kim, who claimed she heard about the show on social media.
Parker stated that Cattrall was not expected to participate in the reboot. “She made it clear it wasn’t something she wanted to pursue and it just didn’t feel right to us anymore, so it just didn’t occur to us.”
Meanwhile, Sarah’s Hocus Pocus 2 co-star Kathy Najimy recently expressed her support for Cattrall, sparking speculation that she might be shadowing Parker.
