Nottingham Forest set to investigate the handling of the medical team of Awoniyi injury

Nottingham Forest will stop an internal investigation into dealing with Taiwo Awoniyi from their medical team on Sunday.

The 27-year-old Nigerian striker remains in the hospital, in an induced coma, after an operation to repair a torn intestine on Monday.

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis was furious about the way in which the medical team dealt with the injury of Awoniyi

Awoniyi sustained serious abdominal wounds when he collided with a post during his side 2-2 sign with Leicester City.
