At least 15 employees are part of the proposed lawsuit with allegations ranging from bullying and harassment to discrimination, reports Variety Australia

A spokesperson for Lachlan Murdoch’s radio network said in a statement Friday that it was “unaware of the filing of a class action or other legal proceeding related to alleged workplace misconduct.”

Kristian Bolwell, WorkLawyers’ lead attorney, confirmed on Thursday that he had been approached by a number of ex-employees about their concerns.

Sources told Variety that the allegations were “primarily directed at one senior executive” who has not been named, although allegations had also been made against other senior employees.

The charges could come to court “within weeks.”

Nova Entertainment launched a whistleblower scheme for concerned employees in May last year.

The news comes after Murdoch, who is not charged with any wrongdoing, flew into Sydney on his $90 million private jet last week.

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting that his visit to Australia is related to a proposed legal action against Nova Entertainment.

The media baron and his wife, former model and TV host Sarah Murdoch, spent a relaxing day on Saturday on their $30 million superyacht, Istros.

The couple, who have been married for 23 years, enjoyed lunch and champagne on the ship as they cruised Sydney Harbor with family and friends.

The News Corp co-chairman last visited Sydney in April when he stopped by after a trip to French Polynesia with his family.

Before that, he had visited Australia in February with commentator Piers Morgan.

During the Covid pandemic, it appeared that the Murdochs were planning to settle down permanently in Down Under.

Lachlan and Sarah are parents to sons Kalan Alexander, 17, and Aidan Patrick, 16, and daughter Aerin Elisabeth, 12.

In April last year, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that they could stay in Australia for “years, not months as initially thought”.

The couple, who own a home in Bellevue Hill, better known as Le Manoir, married in 1999.
