The couple married in 2007 and shared three children together, 14-year-old Kayin and 12-year-old twins Clara and Uche.
They were University Belden, as they met when they both studied at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, in the late 1990s.
Sheinelle’s last performance in the show was on December 18.
