NVIDIA RTX 5050 Always aure rumor to pack Slagger Vram than other Blackwell GPUs, but do not write this budget -graphic card yet

- Nvidia’s RTX 5050 Desktop GPU would have 8 GB GDDR6 Vram, slower than the rest of the Blackwell range
- In theory it runs at the same speed as the GDDR6 in AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs
- Whatever the Video Memory Species turns out to be, Nvidia can still have a winning budget -GPU if the prize is good
We hear that again Nvidia‘s RTX 5050 Detel graphic card Almost the launch and uses slower video -ram than the rest of the Blackwell GPU range.
According to a new rumor, it was actually broadcast on X that Videocardz notedThe RTX 5050 will use GDDR6 -Video -Ram (instead of GDDR7 as shown elsewhere with Blackwell) that runs at a speed of 20 Gbps. According to the previous chatter, it runs with 8 GB of this VRAM.
By the way, Desktop RTX5050 uses 20 Gbps GDDR6, the same as the RDNA4 family. https://t.co/va2qj7zrieJune 13, 2025
This is from Leaker Megasizegpu, which is generally considered a reliable source, and further notes that this is the same speed of VRAM as shown in AMD‘s rdna 4 graphic cards (which means RX 9070 XT).
If the grapevine is right, the RTX 5050 desktop will be launched in the near future, perhaps already in July, and will probably arrive in addition to the mobile version Budget Gaming Laptopsat.
Analysis: Prices are the key, as always
At this point, the volume of RTX 5050 leaks was quite substantial, so much even that it would be a surprise if Nvidia did not have this GPU income. Rumors must of course be carefully seasoned, but when enough of them floating around consistently, it is difficult to deny that they will probably come and pass.
What is strange about the speculation around the RTX 5050, both laptop and desktop versions, is that the various sources do not seem to decide on the type of VRAM that is used. Some laptop rumors Still say that the RTX 5050 Mobile can get the faster GDDR7 video -ram used in other Blackwell GPUs, while the Deskto theories are filled for GDDR6. Indeed, recent laptop entries that the RTX 5050 Mobile leaked have indeed shown both GDDR6 and GDDR7 video memory.
Is it possible that we could see both types of Vram use in laptops? That seems very unlikely, because it would be seriously confusing for consumers (not that Nvidia has never done that before). We can see GDDR7 for laptops and GDDR6 for the desktop RTX 5050; That is certainly possible.
But what I think it is more likely that at some point Nvidia wanted to use GDDR7, but changed to GDDR6, and this is what we will get for all models of the RTX 5050, laptop and desktop.
Anyway, the RTX 5050 will certainly pack 8 GB, because that is the leanest amount with which Nvidia could possibly get away. And although there is a lot of complaining that 8 GB is an insufficient pool of video ram for modern gaming, remember that this is a budget GPU, so it will have a configuration that it is cheap.
That is of course the key. Although there has been disappointment that the rumors of the RTX 5050 make it look rather weak sauce – and this newest gold clog from X did not help – if Nvidia frames are specifications with attractive prices, then we have a winner. It’s really that simple.
