NVIDIA RTX 5050 GPU Spotted in Acer Gaming -Laptops, so it can arrive soon – but I am more doubtful about a desktop variant

- Acer accidentally mentioned RTX 5050 GPUs in some gaming laptops
- The spilled details showed power consumption and clock speeds
- However, we have not shared other specifications and chattered about the desktop variant of the RTX 5050 has also become quiet
Acer Has the Nvidia RTX 5050 Mobile GPU, which gives us a glimpse of some of the most important specifications of this laptop -graphic card.
Not so long ago, NVIDIA introduced RTX 5060 models (The 5060 Ti -Spin came first), and before it arrived, there were Rumors fly around them and the RTX 5050, at.
Although the RTX 5050 has not been officially announced, we recently saw countless leaks about it. Videocardz reports That the newest leak comes from Acer, thanks to a list of GPU specifications for laptops of predators and nitro gaming.
This mentioned a RTX 5050 in a good number of the Nitro notes, and I use the past tense there because Acer caught the error and removed the offensive entries – but not before Videocardz has made a screenshot as evidence. Other sources have also taken note, so this is probably real – although it still takes a grain of salt, such as with all rumors.
We can see from this screengrab that Acer is set to offer the RTX 5050 in five different power options, ranging from 50W to 100 W, with faster clock speeds for each, from 1500 MHz to 2550 MHz. Note that there will also be an ‘Acer OC’ (overclocked) boost of 15W with these models, which means that the most powerful model can deliver 115W in a pinch.
Unfortunately we see no other specifications than power consumption and clocks, which are connected together in a direct relationship – the faster the clocks are pushed, the more wattage the GPU will consume.
Analysis: A laptop RTX 5050 feels on hands – but what about the desktop model?
The specifications that we see here do not give us much of an idea how powerful the RTX 5050 will be theoretical. That said, the advertised Maximal Stroomhulling is fairly substantial at 115W, but we don’t know enough about this mobile GPU to draw definitive conclusions. Important factors include the core making, which is not announced, and the type of video memory (VRAM) that is used.
I should notice that there were rumors on the last front Nvidia could opt for slower GDDR6 VramInstead of the GDDR7 that is used elsewhere with the Blackwell generation. More recent rumors, however, have suggested that Nvidia will stay with GDDR7 (8 GB of this VRAM, which is an expected configuration for an entry -level GPU).
What this apparent error of Acer indicates in any case is that the RTX 5050 laptop graphic card could be close to arrival, otherwise it would not appear on speculations – and this is supported by the fact that we recently had many leaks around this GPU. Indeed, one of those mentioned one Planned launch date of Q2 for the RTX 5050And so a release of June seems to be a clear opportunity at the moment.
In other words, we may see the revelation of the Nvidia RTX 5050 for laptops in the coming week or two. What about the desktop RTX 5050? Yes, it is rumor that Nvidia will produce a desktop taste of this bottom-tier Blackwell GPU, which is contrary to what happened with the previous Lovelace generation (there was no desktop RTX 4050, only a laptop variant).
However, every gossip around the desktop RTX 5050 seems to have dried up, so that I have a break to think about whether Nvidia might have left that idea, at least for the time being. Or maybe it never happened in the first place; We never know with rumors.
I really hope that Nvidia can offer for a more affordable desktop -GPU Budget Gaming PCs But this time, but whether that will really happen is something I have always had doubts about. Simply because of the way Nvidia has neglected the budget at the end of the budget Graphic card spectrum In more recent times.
