Here’s a fun, topical Strands puzzle, as the Paris 2024 Olympic Games officially begin today. It’s an easy one, too, with the theme clue “Go for the gold” pointing pretty clearly to OLYMPICS as the spangram, and ARCHERY and SWIMMING as the answers. And yes, GOLF is in there too; that’s an Olympic sport this year.
Interestingly, TRACK technically shouldn’t be on this list, as elsewhere in the world, including the official Olympics, it’s called ‘athletics’. But let’s just leave that one alone…

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the new word game from the NYT, after Wordle and Connections. It is now out of beta and is therefore a full member of the NYT stable of games and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
