NYT Strands Today (Game #257) – The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #257, are…
- KALE
- ICEBERG
- ROMAN
- WATERCRESS
- RADICCHIO
- SPANGRAM: SALAD VEGETABLES
- My rating: Simple
- My score: 1 tip
I’m not a fan of salad and rarely eat it, but even I was able to solve today’s simple Strands puzzle. Admittedly, I needed one hint to get started, as the theme clue from ‘Dress for lunch’ was just a bit too far on the cryptic side. Strands is a bit variable in this regard; Some days the theme clues give the game away, some days they’re only really useful once you use up a hint (or accidentally find an answer).
That’s hard to get right, though, and honestly it was an easy task to find the likes of ICEBERG, ROMAINE, WATERCRESS, and RADICCHIO once I got KALE on the board; Even if you don’t eat these SALADGREENS, you will definitely recognize the names.
How did you do today? Send me an email and let me know.
