NYT Strands Today (Contest #155) – The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands question, game #155, are…
- MONEY
- RICH
- LUSH
- RICH
- PROSPEROUS
- SPANGRAM: DATSRICH
- My score: Difficult
- My score: 3 tips
Today’s Strands was a really tough one that required a lot of clues – three to be exact. The first one was a good start for me, as I had no idea what ‘Rolling in it’ referred to. That got me MONEYED (although it took me a while to figure out what the word was, even after the Strands board had highlighted it for me), but while the concept was now clear, the other words were not.
To make matters worse, I saw RICH pretty early on, but couldn’t figure out what the rest of the sentence was to (probably) make the spangram. I ended up solving THATSRICH by default at the end, after using two more hints to figure out OPULENT and AFFLUENT.
How was your day? Send me an email and let me know.
