NYT Strands Today (Game #260) – The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #260, are…
- ORCA
- DOLPHIN
- SEAL
- MANAT
- WALRUS
- NARWHAL
- SPANGRAM: SEA WORSHIP
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 1 tip
These MARINE MAMMALS are among my favorites of all animals. There’s something about DOLPHINS, WALRUS and SEALS that’s so appealing, and as for the slightly creepy but fascinating NARWHAL and MANATEE… they’re just amazing, aren’t they? I was surprised WHALE wasn’t there, but otherwise all the big stars of the marine mammal world were here.
However, these Strands were tricky to complete because several words are spelled unusually. In fact, I used a hint for the first word, and when I got C, O, R, and A, it took me several minutes to put that together in ORCA! I finally got there, as I suspect most people will, because there are only so many possible answers here; it was difficult to get started, but at least it doesn’t require a lot of specialist knowledge.
How did you do today? Send me an email and let me know.
