This is one of my favorite Strands puzzles from the last few weeks. It’s niche enough to provide a challenge, but doesn’t require any real specialist knowledge. Of course you may have found it easier if you are a hairdresser, but that is not mandatory!
However, some words were quite difficult. I’ve never heard of a FAUXHAWK, although luckily it was the last answer I needed, so I was able to work it out with some degree of trial and error. Several others had me racking my brains for hairstyles I’ve had myself, in most cases many years ago. But eventually I got there.

Strands is the NYT’s new word game, after Wordle and Connections. It is now out of beta so is a full member of the NYT’s stable of games and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
