NYT Strands Today (Contest #128) – The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands question, game #128, are…
- SCULPTURE
- TO PAINT
- COLLAGE
- LITHOGRAPH
- WALL PAINTING
- SPANGRAM: ART MUSEUM
- My score: Simple
- My score: Perfect
Confession: I’d never heard the term ‘art museum’ before. It’s possible I’m an uneducated heathen with no knowledge of the fine arts, but I suspect it’s more of a language barrier. I _think_ the term art gallery is more widely used here in the UK – at least it’s what I’d use to describe museums like the Tate in London. Or maybe I’m just an educated heathen.
Anyway, confusion aside, I figured this out without any real issues. The theme clue left little doubt as to what was needed, and once I found SCULPTURE I was up and running and on the hunt for more. It was only the spangram – due to the aforementioned gallery/museum confusion – and LITHOGRAPH (because it’s a long and complicated word) that allowed me to finish it in record time.
How was your day? Send me an email and let me know.
