I am unusual (at least in the TechRadar office) in that I don’t care about my birthday at all. I don’t celebrate it, and haven’t for years – it’s just another day like any other. I don’t hate people who celebrate their birthdays in a big way, but I do wonder why it’s so important to mark the fact that the Earth has revolved around us multiple 365 times since we were born. I think it might just be me.
Anyway, this was one of those Strands games that I just couldn’t get started on without help. The theme clue “one for the ages” just didn’t give me enough to work out the concept, so I used a hint that gave me the word CAKE, and after that it wasn’t so bad.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the new word game from the NYT, after Wordle and Connections. It is now out of beta and is therefore a full member of the NYT stable of games and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
