NYT -Strengen Today (Game #464) – The answers
The answers to today’s strands, Game #464, are …
- TO APOLOGIZE
- Respect
- PART
- Thanks
- Listen
- TO CONSIDER
- Spangram: Be polite
- My review: Simple
- My score: Perfect
I have always told my children that “ways don’t cost anything” and “it’s nice to be nice”, so it’s good to see that this message is repeated in today’s word search, which is accompanied by the question of being polite.
My thoughts on this subject stretch our interactions with technology, in particular AI tools such as Alexa and Siri. My approach is two -fold – we must be polite because ways must be random and also because how we speak to AI becomes part of the algorithm (the person who has adapted to us and to wider society).
We do not know how AI will behave in the future and I would rather have it once it, once it becomes aware, it thinks it is well treated by humanity instead of rough.
When the latter is, I hope that the AI Murderbots will remember that I said “please” when I asked them how it would be again tomorrow.
Anyway, I wander and I apologize for that. Quite a simple game today with little to challenge ordinary players or our future AI rulers.
How did you do it today? Let me know in the comments below.
