NYT Stards Today (Game #442) – The answers
The answers to today’s strands, Game #442, are …
- MACKEREL
- TROUT
- SALMON
- Snapper
- HALIBUT
- Spangram: Something Fishy
- My review: Simple
- My score: Perfect
About a quarter because of today’s search, I thought to myself: “There is no way in which strands would have a spangram as long as there is something?”
But, oh how wrong I was and it takes a third of the grid when we fish for fish -like words.
I also find it difficult to look at without the apostrophe – as in ‘Something’s Fishy’ – even if that would not work in a word, but maybe I am alone with that.
Mackerel was the easiest word to find thanks to the CK in his name, while Snapper was the most difficult to tap because there were different variants in the order of the letters.
Unlike that, today’s search was about as simple as photographing fish in a bucket, but in honesty it was limited to a tasty and chic selection – none of these fine sources of Omega 3 will probably be like an ingredient in a stick or a hamburger.
How did you do it today? Let me know in the comments below.
