NYT Stards Today (Game #449) – The answers
The answers to today’s strands, Game #449, are …
- HANDSHAKE
- GREETING
- Shrug shoulders
- Kowtow
- Namaste
- Bow
- Spangram: gestures
- My review: Moderate
- My score: 1 hint
I struggled with the strands of today, after a great start with seeing handshake and greeting immediately and then the gesture spangram.
A hint gave me a shoulders, but I had trouble seeing Namaste between the seven letters for me. I think this may be due to thinking that Namaste was just a greeting instead of a gesture – although I think about it, I realize that it is something that has never been said without the palms coming together at the chest and a light arch of the head.
In the meantime, KowTow is a word that really needs to be used more often to describe the political discourse in different countries around the world – once a prominent part of Chinese rituals where subordinates would undergo the indignation of submission, now it will continue everywhere.
How did you do it today? Let me know in the comments below.
