NYT Stards Today (Game #463) – The answers
The answers to today’s strands, Game #463, are …
- MASK
- CAMOUFLAGE
- DISGUISE
- Mantle
- Cover
- FACADE
- Spangram: False Front
- My review: Moderate
- My score: 1 hint
The keywords today were well hidden and I needed a hint to start. The word mask confirmed what we were looking for – so I immediately went looking for camouflage and disguise.
The Spangram was not a term I was familiar with, but there is one that I saw in action in London. Here there is a beautiful old theater that I have looked at in turn of blooming to expire that has been in development for years to become apartments.
As is the case in many cities, the back of the building was demolished – only the facade left behind. Along the way, however, something structurally went the most wrong, because the plastered facade was then completely replaced by a new facade, which copied the Art Deco style of the original. So now there is no brick from the original building, which might have been all the plan. Anyway, not once but twice a false front.
How did you do it today? Let me know in the comments below.
