Olivia Wilde cuts chic figure in power blazer… ahead of controversial release of Don’t Worry Darling
Olivia Wilde stepped out in New York City on Thursday, wearing a sharp black blazer with padded shoulders.
The 38-year-old director and actress looked casual and chic as she joined the look with jeans.
It comes a day before her headline-making film Don’t Worry Darling premieres in theaters.

The New York native tucked a white crew-neck tank top into her jeans, which had a stylish hole on one knee.
She completed the look with a pair of yellow sneakers with white laces and a gummy sole.
The mum of two added a touch of glamor to her outfit, with some classic Ray Bans black shades.
Her outfit was accentuated with gold jewelry as she wore multiple necklaces, a small hoop in one ear and a bracelet.

And to coordinate the look, she draped a black handbag over her shoulder, complete with a gold chain strap.
Olivia appeared to be going makeup-free and she pulled her highlighted hair into a loose, casual bun.
The director of Booksmart sported a deep, glossy red manicure on her short nails while holding her iPhone in one hand.
Just days ago, she attended the premiere of her popular feature film in New York City.

Earlier this week, she hit back at reports of a feud with lead actress Florence Pugh.
Speaking about the pair’s much-rumored feud on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday, Olivia emphasized that she has “nothing but respect” for Florence, 26, despite being plagued by claims to the contrary.
She gushed about Florence’s performance in the controversial film and suggested being questioned about the feud being sexist because it’s not something her “male director colleagues answer.”
The actress also doubled down on claims that she fired former lead actor Shia LaBeouf, 36, insisting he gave her an “ultimatum” to choose between him and Florence, and clarified: “I chose Florence.”

When asked by Stephen if she was “feuding” with Florence, Olivia stopped rumors of tension between the pair as she gushed about the star’s “sensational” performance in the film.
Wilde, who is dating lead actor Harry Styles, has been at the center of speculation over a reported breakup with Florence on set, with original co-star Shia also contributing to the drama.
But she has now described Florence as a “superhero” and insisted that she “has nothing against her for any reason,” while double-crossing her denial of any spat.
“She’s sensational in this movie. And it’s about being brave enough to listen to the brave people who have come before her and who have ignored everyone else, and that she trusts her instincts,” Olivia said.

“And she’s the one brave enough to dismantle the system. She’s a superhero. And Florence Pugh is as good at dramatic work as she is in action. There are real action scenes in the movie. She has a run that I call her “Tom Cruise run.” It’s the most impressive run I’ve ever seen,” she added.
Olivia appeared to be addressing claims that Florence had been scheduling conflicts for a press conference at the Venice Film Festival, but Olivia said there’s “nothing cooler than a busy actress.”
“I have nothing but respect for Florence’s talent. She’s fantastic. She is now on the set of her movie Dune. There is nothing cooler than a busy actress. I have nothing against her for whatever reason,” Olivia said.
Florence skipped a press conference for the film because her flight was reportedly landing too late to get there, though she was seen nearby sipping an Aperol Spritz.

Feud? The actress also doubled down on claims that she fired former lead actor Shia LaBeouf, 36, insisting that he gave her an “ultimatum.”
Commenting on a video of Florence enjoying her cocktail at the time, Stephen said, “People pointed out that she ate an Aperol Spritz at the press conference and didn’t show up.”
To which Olivia replied cryptically, “They did point that out.”
She added, “I think what’s funny is that I don’t feel like my male director colleagues are answering questions about their cast,” receiving applause from the studio audience at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.
Rumor conflict: Director Olivia, who is in a relationship with lead actor Harry, has been at the center of speculation over a reported breakup with Florence on set (both depicted in the film)
“These are not questions to ask a director. They should be talking about the movie itself,” Stephen added, admitting that he gave in to the appetite by asking her about the rumours.
Olivia reportedly came into conflict with Florence during filming because the Black Widow star was said to be unhappy about allegations that Olivia was ‘connected’ to Harry while engaged to Jason Sudeikis.
Olivia and Jason, 46, became engaged in 2012 and share children Otis, eight, and Daisy, five. They were said to have split up in November 2020 and Olivia made headlines with Harry in January 2021.
While the romance between Olivia and Harry has never been confirmed while she was still engaged to Jason, Page Six reported that Florence got into an argument with Olivia over the pairing.
Leading up to the film’s release, Florence did little to no promotion for the film and was seen sipping a cocktail near Venice while skipping a press conference for Don’t Worry Darling.
The rumors intensified when Olivia suggested that Florence should have a “wake-up call” in a leaked video shared by Shia when he refuted Wilde’s claim that he had been fired.
Shia was originally going to star in Don’t Worry Darling before Olivia replaced him with Harry, with Olivia claiming that Shia’s trial was “not conducive to the ethos I demand in my productions.”
But in response, Shia — who claims he quit “due to lack of rehearsal time” — shared an email he sent to the director and a video she allegedly sent him showing him running away from the film rather than to be fired.
Olivia said, “It’s a matter of semantics. It wouldn’t progress in the way he wanted, so he had to leave.’
