Jakob’s father’s father has been released from the abuse of the Olympic gold medal winner, although he was found guilty of attacking his daughter, Ingrid.
Norwegian athletics Star Ingebrigtsen accused his father and former trainer, Gjert, of years of physical and psychological violence during his youth.
But one court has considered insufficient evidence to condemn Gjert from the allegations of his youngest son.
The court However, Gjert was guilty of getting his daughter Ingrid with a towel during a heated row over her going out with friends in 2022.
The court said there was no serious indication of the fear that Jakob claimed that Gert brought in a TV documentary Follow the family.
It also considered a recording of an argument between the couple in the St St Moritz training camp in 2019 as insufficient evidence to prove Jakob’s claims.
The verdict was: “Jakob shows no signs of fear or submission with regard to the defendant.
“He stands his ground and revenge on the verbal abuse of the suspect.
“Violence nearby relationships Can prevent it in secret and remain hidden from the outside world.
“However, the statements and recordings that are assessed in the previous paragraphs are difficult to reconcile with the claim of the prosecutor that the suspect has subjected Jakob to continuous and repeated abuse during the period from 2008 to 2018.
“Although Jakob and his brothers and spouses have given credible statements, the total weight of the statements and other assessed evidence means that the court must conclude that there is reasonable doubt about the fault of the suspect.”
Gert was responsible for the successful training regimes of his sons, Jakob, Henrik and Filip.
Henrik and Filip tasted the European glory, while Jacob, who broke coaching tires with his old man in 2022, won 1500m and 5000m in the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Gamesrespectively.
In October 2023, the brothers bravely wrote an article about the alleged abuse of Gjert, which they accused of ‘using physical violence and threats as part of their upbringing’.
Gjert, who admitted that he had a “traditional and patriarchal” upbringing style, fiercely denied the allegations.
His lawyer, John Christian Elden, said: “This case has no winners.
“And today’s judgment shows that all those affected were exposed to a huge burden that should have been avoided.”
